In the mouth
The palate is marked by fine red fruit expression, balanced oak influence, and silky, well-integrated tannins. There is good structure without heaviness, and the finish is clean and persistent, with lingering mineral notes.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals ripe red berries—cherry and plum—with subtle graphite minerality and a whisper of olive leaf. The aromatic profile is classic northern Rhône, with good intensity and layering.
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with excellent clarity and depth of colour.
Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels of which 20% new wood.
M. Francois
This Hermitage pairs beautifully with duck breast and game birds. The wine's structure and tannin profile make it an excellent companion to richly sauced poultry dishes, such as roasted quail. It will also complement beef preparations and mature cheeses. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to open fully.
