A wine of genuine substance and elegance

  • Produced from exceptionally old vines on the steep slopes of Hermitage, this wine captures the essence of one of the Rhône Valley's most prestigious terroirs. The age and character of these established vineyards impart considerable depth and complexity.
  • This is a wine built for the cellar. Its fine-grained tannin structure and balanced acidity suggest a rewarding evolution over the next fifteen to twenty years, developing greater nuance and refinement with time.
  • The complexity here is understated but genuine. Layered aromas, a composed palate, and a lengthy finish reveal the careful work of a house with deep roots in the northern Rhône. This is serious winemaking without pretension.

In the mouth
Fine, well-integrated tannins provide structure without dominance. The palate is elegant and composed, with good concentration and a long, persistent finish that echoes the aromatic complexity observed on the nose.
On the nose
A restrained bouquet unfolds gradually, revealing dark cherry and plum, with delicate floral notes and a whisper of citrus zest. Subtle chocolate undertones emerge with aeration, speaking to the wine's maturity and complexity.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with subtle brick tones at the rim
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with roasted or braised beef, venison, and other game birds. Its structure and acidity also complement rich chocolate-based desserts. Serve at sixteen to eighteen degrees Celsius, decanted thirty minutes before service to allow the bouquet to develop fully.
