The most approachable Cabernet Franc from the domaine

  • This Bourgueil displays a refined structure that distinguishes it within Yannick Amirault's portfolio. The wine achieves balance between the natural vigour of Cabernet Franc and an elegant restraint characteristic of the finest Loire expressions.
  • Cote 50 reveals its character immediately, requiring no extended cellaring. The wine is drinking beautifully now, yet possesses sufficient backbone to develop gracefully over the coming years.
  • Approach this wine with confidence from release through 2027. Its current drinkability makes it ideal for the table today, whilst those inclined towards patience will find it continues to evolve with modest cellaring.

Product features : Domaine Yannick Amirault Bourgueil Cote 50 2021 — Organic

Breeding
Subtle élevage in large wooden vessels and stoneware jars for 6 to 12 months to preserve the wine's fruit brightness.
On the eye
A vibrant purple robe with good depth of colour
On the nose
Intense red and dark fruit aromas dominate, with subtle herbaceous undertones characteristic of Loire Cabernet Franc. The bouquet remains fresh and inviting without excessive alcohol heat.
In the mouth
Powerful fruit expression on the palate, with the wine maintaining fine-grained tannins rather than aggressive structure. The finish is clean and persistent, allowing the fruit to linger without heaviness.
M. Francois
Pleasantly subtle spice notes emerge alongside the primary fruit, adding complexity without overwhelming the wine's essential character. This is Cabernet Franc in a welcoming register—approachable yet serious, immediate yet capable of development. The organic farming practices are evident in the wine's purity and vitality.
