Breeding
Aged in 400-litre barrels for 12 months.

Brilliant garnet robe with good depth and clarity.
On the nose
A composed bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry and bramble, with the mineral undertones characteristic of the appellation. The aromatics develop gradually in the glass.
In the mouth
Ample and generous on the palate, with well-integrated tannins that are notably silky. The wine shows good balance and concludes with a subtle peppery note that lingers pleasantly.
This Sancerre will serve admirably alongside duck à l'orange, roasted cod with seasonal vegetables, or a fine cut of beef. Its structure and fruit make it equally suited to the table or to quiet contemplation. A wine of genuine versatility and breeding.

Based in Pouilly-sur-Loire since 1790, Domaine Saget la Perrière spans 360 hectares across the Loire Valley's finest appellations, from the Kimmeridgian clays of Pouilly to the flint soils of Sancerre. Now in its ninth generation, Jean-Louis, Arnaud and Laurent Saget have steered the entire estate to organic certification and HVE, working with Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir.
