Breeding
21 months in French oak barrels (approximately 65% new wood)
On the eye
An impenetrable purple robe of remarkable depth and intensity.
On the nose
The bouquet unfolds with compelling complexity: blackcurrant and wild blackberry mingle with dark cherry, layered with subtle secondary notes that reward patient examination.
In the mouth
The palate reveals Palmer's signature balance. Merlot contributes finesse and precise fruit expression; Cabernet Sauvignon provides structure and rigour. The finish extends gracefully, lingering on dark fruit and fine spice.
M. Francois
Palmer possesses a singular style: refined, subtle and elegant. The wine demonstrates the house's unwavering commitment to finesse over power, a philosophy that has defined its character for generations. The 2021 vintage exemplifies this restrained sophistication.
