In the mouth
Blackcurrant and dark plum with subtle spice. A whisper of tonka bean adds complexity without overwhelming the wine's structure. The palate is well-balanced and approachable.
On the nose
Dark berry fruits with wild, herbaceous notes. The aromatics suggest careful handling in the cellar and a respect for the fruit's natural expression.
On the eye
Garnet
Breeding
12 to 14 months, 60% in new oak barrels, 40% in one-year-old oak barrels
M. Francois
Cap de Faugères pairs naturally with charcuterie and cured meats, where its dark fruit and gentle tannins complement salt and fat beautifully. It is equally at home with roasted game or mature cheeses. Drink now or cellar for five to seven years with confidence.
