Breeding
This cuvée is aged in 30% new oak barrels for 17 months.
On the eye
Intense, brilliant purple hue with excellent clarity and depth.
On the nose
Red and dark fruit aromas meld with subtle mocha and light spice notes, creating an inviting and layered bouquet that evolves gently in the glass.
In the mouth
The palate opens with a soft, velvety attack. Medium-bodied, with good acidity that carries the wine through to a clean finish. Fine tannins are well-integrated, delivering an elegant, digestible texture that speaks to careful élevage.
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, charcuterie, or aged cheeses such as Reblochon. Its balance makes it equally suited to casual entertaining or a thoughtful dinner. Drink now through 2032.

CHATEAU CALON SEGUR

At the northern tip of the Médoc, Château Calon Ségur covers 55 hectares of gravelly soils over clay subsoil within the Saint-Estèphe appellation, classified 3rd Grand Cru in 1855. Founded in 1147, the château entered a new chapter in 2012 under Suravenir Assurances, whose investment programme brought rigorous parcel-by-parcel viticulture, HVE certification, and tightly controlled yields of just 26 hl/ha in 2022. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the singular character of its northerly terroir, the discipline of its vineyard management, and the consistency of its red wines — a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. Its heart-adorned label has become one of the most recognisable emblems in all of Bordeaux.
