A Classified Growth since 1855, built for the cellar

  • The Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot provide the wine's structural backbone, delivering complexity and measured power that defines the Left Bank character of this Margaux estate.
  • Merlot brings roundness and generosity to the blend, whilst Cabernet Franc contributes delicate floral notes and silky texture, creating a harmonious whole.
  • This is a wine of genuine patience. The 2021 vintage will reward those willing to cellar it for a decade or more, developing secondary complexity and refinement.

In the mouth
The attack is fresh and engaging, with immediate fruit expression. Mid-palate volume builds steadily, revealing fine-grained tannins and a persistent finish with elegant acidity.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and plum lead, followed by subtle spice notes—white pepper and dried herbs—with an underlying minerality characteristic of the Margaux terroir.
On the eye
Deep garnet, with a lustrous rim suggesting youth and structure
Breeding

M. Francois
A splendid expression of Margaux finesse. This wine pairs beautifully with grilled red meats and classic sauced preparations—duck confit, beef en sauce—where its structure and elegance complement rather than overwhelm the dish. Drink from 2028 onwards.
