In the mouth
Structured and well-defined on the palate, with round, integrated tannins. The wine shows good depth and a persistent finish that speaks to its breeding and careful vinification.
On the nose
Aromas of ripe dark fruits—blackcurrant and plum—interwoven with subtle spice notes and hints of cedar. The bouquet develops with air, revealing layers of complexity.
On the eye
Deep ruby red with a lustrous appearance.
Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels (fine grain) with 45% new wood for 14 to 16 months depending on the vintage.
A wine of genuine character, well-suited to the table. Serve alongside charcuterie, roasted red meats, and braised dishes—a beef daube, braserade, or quail with grapes would all find an excellent companion in this Pauillac. Best enjoyed over the next ten to fifteen years.

CHATEAU LACOSTE-BORIE
Château Lacoste-Borie is produced in Pauillac, Gironde, across 90 hectares of deep gravel ridges on the celebrated Bages plateau. As the second wine of Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste — a 5th Classified Growth of the 1855 classification — it was first made in 1978 when the Borie family took over the property, today led by François-Xavier Borie. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc delivers the firm tannic structure that defines Pauillac, with an earlier accessibility that the grand vin does not seek. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its viticulture, certified both Terra Vitis and HVE, and for the compelling balance it strikes between true Pauillac character and considered value. A Pauillac of real substance, faithful to its gravels.
