In the mouth
Rich and savoury on the palate, with well-integrated tannins and a persistent finish. The wine displays the elegance and balance expected of a classified growth, with layers of flavour that unfold gradually.
On the nose
The bouquet is expressive and fruit-forward, showing ripe cassis and plum with subtle cedary undertones. The aromatics suggest a wine with both immediate appeal and evolving complexity.
On the eye
Deep, concentrated colour with excellent saturation
M. Francois
This wine pairs admirably with substantial meat dishes, particularly lamb preparations such as navarin. The wine's structure and acidity complement rich sauces and root vegetables, making it an excellent choice for traditional French cuisine and British game.
