Breeding
Élevage in large oak foudres (600L to 1200L casks) rather than new small barrels. This allows the wine to oxidise gently and gain richness whilst preserving fruit purity and mineral freshness.
On the eye
Pale golden yellow with bright, crystalline clarity.
On the nose
Inviting bouquet of ripe stone fruits—peach and apricot—with subtle floral notes. The wine is rich and rounded, with good aromatic depth.
In the mouth
Well-controlled maturity with a fine, persistent acidity. Abundant fruit character, lively and refreshing, with a clean mineral edge that defines the finish.
A versatile wine suited to aperitifs and a wide range of dishes: veal and cream-based poultry preparations, sushi, antipasti, ratatouille, risotto, composed salads, and goat's cheese. Its balance makes it equally rewarding as an aperitif wine.

LES HERITIERS DU COMTE LAFON
Based in Milly-Lamartine, Saône-et-Loire, Les Heritiers du Comte Lafon Mâconnais farms 26 hectares across the Mâcon appellation, on a mosaic of clay-limestone, schist and granite soils. The estate was founded in 1999 by Dominique Lafon — the first Côte d'Or grower to commit seriously to the Mâconnais — and since 2022 has been led by the next generation, Léa and Pierre Lafon, working to organic and biodynamic principles. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the rigour of its parcel-by-parcel approach, the precision of its Chardonnays, and the consistency of a commitment that has been in place from the very beginning. A benchmark address for the contemporary Mâconnais.
