Seven generations of viticultural mastery

  • Crafted from the Domaine's most venerable vineyard parcels, these older vines yield concentrated expression of Châteauneuf-du-Pape's distinctive character and depth.
  • Certified organic viticulture. This cuvée reflects a commitment to sustainable practice without compromise to quality or complexity.
  • A wine of considerable aromatic layering: dark stone fruits interwoven with garrigue, roasted coffee and warming spice, sustained by fine-grained tannin structure.

Product features : Alain Jaume Châteauneuf-du-Pape Domaine Grand Veneur Vieilles Vignes 2018 — Châteauneuf-du-Pape

In the mouth
Spice and ripe dark fruit unfold across a framework of subtle oak and vanilla. Fine, abundant tannins provide structure without harshness. The finish extends with remarkable salinity and textural suavity.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and blackberry mingle with white pepper and cinnamon, whilst dried herbs and roasted coffee bean add tertiary complexity and intrigue.
On the eye
Deep, nearly black garnet. Dense colour indicating concentration and maturity.
Breeding
Ageing for 16 months comprising 40% in concrete vat and 60% in new and one-year-old French oak barrels (Tronçais origin)
M. Francois
A Châteauneuf-du-Pape of genuine distinction, distilling the essence of its terroir. The marriage of old-vine concentration, organic farming principles and careful élevage yields a wine of considerable presence and refinement—one that rewards patient cellaring.
