- From the lieu-dit Les Eguets on the Chavanay plateau, this wine emerges from just half a hectare of meticulously tended vineyard. The site's distinctive terroir imparts a mineral backbone and aromatic intensity characteristic of the finest Condrieu expressions.
- The wine reveals a compelling interplay between ripe stone fruit and subtle smoke—a signature of the appellation's schist-rich soils. A gentle bitter edge in the finish adds complexity and encourages contemplation rather than mere consumption.
- This is a wine of sufficient structure to reward patience. Lay down a bottle or two for three to five years; the aromatic profile will deepen and integrate, revealing further dimensions of terroir and vintage character.

Domaine Jean-Michel Gérin is a wine estate in Ampuis (Rhône), Côte-Rôtie appellation. Around 12 hectares on steep schist and mica-schist hillsides. Grapes: Syrah (reds), Viognier (whites). Appellations: Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu. Cuvées: Champin le Seigneur, La Landonne, Les Grandes Places. Wines of great depth and fine aromatic complexity.
