- La Landonne occupies 0.4 hectares on the south-facing slopes of Ampuis, one of Côte-Rôtie's most prestigious lieu-dits. This exposure ensures full ripeness and the characteristic mineral character of the appellation.

In the mouth
Complex and racey, with fine-grained tannins and excellent balance. The palate shows layered fruit, mineral tension, and a persistent finish that speaks to the quality of the terroir and vintage.
On the nose
Ripe black and red fruits mingle with white pepper and subtle spice. Secondary notes of leather and graphite emerge with aeration, reflecting the wine's mineral foundation and careful élevage.
On the eye
Deep garnet with subtle purple undertones, suggesting maturity and concentration.
Breeding
22 months: 40% new oak, 60% one or two-year-old barrels
A wine of considerable refinement, ideally suited to game birds such as quail and partridge. The mineral structure and moderate alcohol make it equally compelling as a meditation wine. Decant 30 minutes before service to fully express its complexity.

Based in Ampuis at the heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation, Domaine Jean-Michel Gerin farms 20 hectares across steep hillside terraces of micaschist and red schist. Founded in 1983 by Jean-Michel Gerin, whose family has grown vines in Ampuis for six generations, the estate is now guided by Michaël and Alexis Gerin. Organic certification, effective from the 2023 vintage, crowns a long-held commitment to working these demanding northern Rhône terroirs with care and precision. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the clarity and depth of its Côte-Rôtie Syrahs, its rigorous approach to steep-slope viticulture, and the international standing it has earned without ever straying from Ampuis. A benchmark address for lovers of great northern Rhône reds.
