Six generations of family winemaking in Fitou

  • The vines are twenty years of age, yielding concentrated fruit and structural complexity. This maturity of the vineyard is reflected in the wine's depth and balance, offering substance without heaviness.
  • A wine of considerable presence: juicy and powerful, yet marked by tender tannins that caress rather than grip. The texture is generous, the fruit intensity sustained, with an appealing suppleness throughout.
  • Sourced directly from the domaine through Les Halles de Quercamps, this wine represents the authentic character of Fitou without unnecessary markup, offering genuine value for the discerning collector.

Product features : Domaine Bertrand Bergé Fitou Origines 2020 — Organic

In the mouth
Round and tender on the palate, with intense fruit expression balanced by supple, gourmand tannins. The wine flows with elegance, finishing with a lingering note of dark berries and subtle spice.
On the nose
Floral notes—violet and rose petals—mingle with preserved fruits: fig, prune, and dried apricot. A hint of garrigue emerges beneath, characteristic of the Languedoc terroir.
On the eye
Deep ruby with a lustrous core; the colour speaks to ripe fruit and careful vinification.
Breeding
In stainless steel for 18 months
M. Francois
A wine of considerable versatility at table. Particularly suited to beef and lamb brochettes, where its fruit intensity and tender structure complement charred meat admirably. Also excellent with Mediterranean herb-crusted preparations, game birds, and aged cheeses. Serve at 16–17°C for optimal expression.
