A wine of considerable elegance and refinement

  • This Haut-Médoc displays the classical structure and balance for which the appellation is renowned. The Cru Bourgeois classification reflects the estate's consistent quality and careful viticulture practices across the vintage.
  • Château Beaumont benefits from sustainable vineyard management, respecting the terroir whilst minimising environmental impact. The result is a wine of genuine character and authenticity.
  • A versatile table wine equally at home with roasted game, prime beef, or aged mountain cheeses. The wine's structure and moderate alcohol (13.5%) make it particularly suitable for extended cellaring.

In the mouth
The palate opens with suppleness and freshness. The tannin structure is refined and well-integrated, providing genuine mid-palate weight and a sustained, balanced finish.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and blackberry predominate, followed by subtle spiced oak notes—hints of vanilla and gentle roasting that add complexity without overwhelming the fruit.
On the eye
Deep ruby to garnet in colour, with an intense, lustrous appearance.
M. Francois
Serve with roasted lamb, quality red meat, or roasted game bird. The wine's acidity and tannin profile complement hard, aged mountain cheeses particularly well. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to open fully. Suitable for drinking now or cellaring for five to eight years.

CHATEAU BEAUMONT

Situated at Cussac-Fort-Médoc in the Haut-Médoc appellation, Château Beaumont commands 114 hectares of Günzian sandy gravels — one of the largest single estates in the appellation. Founded in 1824 by M. Bonnin and graced with a striking Renaissance mansard château built in 1854, the property was acquired in 1986 by Grands Millésimes de France, who also own Château Beychevelle. That rigorous stewardship has delivered dual certification under Terra Vitis and HVE, reflecting a genuine commitment to sustainable viticulture. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Haut-Médoc reds, the frank expression of its gravel terroir, and the honest relationship between assemblage quality and price. A benchmark Haut-Médoc for lovers of classic Bordeaux.
