On the eye
Brilliant golden hue in youth, gradually shifting towards amber and deep copper tones with age, developing mahogany reflections over decades.
On the nose
White florals and citrus zest form the aromatic foundation, with delicate notes of honey and hawthorn emerging as the wine opens. A mineral precision underpins the bouquet.
In the mouth
Ample and refined, with remarkable freshness that prevents any sense of heaviness. Citrus notes predominate—candied lemon and orange—balanced by subtle spice and a clean, mineral finish.
La Tour Blanche often stands as the most complete expression of Sauternes: it possesses Guiraud's power, Rayne-Vigneau's finesse, and a distinctive mineral tension entirely its own. This is a wine that never sacrifices freshness for concentration. Excellent with blue cheeses and foie gras.

Château La Tour Blanche is a wine estate in the Sauternes appellation (Bordeaux), classified First Growth in the 1855 Classification. Area: 40 hectares. Owned by the French state, managed by the Ministry of Agriculture. Grapes: Sémillon (83%), Sauvignon Blanc (12%), Muscadelle (5%). The estate houses a school of viticulture and oenology. Rich, complex sweet wine.
