CHATEAU CARLMAGNUS
Set on the limestone plateaux above the town of Fronsac in the Gironde, Château Carlmagnus farms 38 hectares of Merlot on naturally drained argilo-calcaire soils, certified organic since 2020. Founded in 1953 by Ernest Roux under the name Carolus, the château passed to Arnaud Roux-Oulié in 1998 — third generation, who renamed it Carlmagnus at the age of twenty and committed to organic viticulture from 2020 onwards. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the rigour of its farming, the consistency of its organic approach, and the honest, terroir-driven character its wines draw from one of Fronsac's most distinctive plateau sites. A Bordeaux address we recommend with confidence.
