On the eye
Deep, concentrated garnet with an intense, sustained colour
On the nose
A layered aromatic profile unfolds with finely toasted vanilla notes. As the wine opens, cassis and black cherry emerge, complemented by subtle mineral undertones characteristic of the Left Bank.
In the mouth
The attack reveals considerable complexity. Powerful, well-integrated tannins provide structure whilst delivering impressive volume and roundness. The mid-palate shows depth and refinement throughout.
M. Francois
The finish is marked by freshness and mineral precision, hallmarks of Mouton's terroir expression. This is a wine of considerable elegance and breeding, built for patient cellaring. The 2020 vintage demonstrates the estate's ability to craft wines of balance and longevity, even in a challenging growing season.

Nicolas françois, propriétaire passionné des halles de quercamps

CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD

Established on the Plateau de Mouton outside Pauillac in the Gironde, Château Mouton Rothschild covers 90 hectares of deep gravel soils planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon. Acquired in 1853 by Nathaniel de Rothschild, the château was elevated to 1er Grand Cru Classé in 1973 — the sole amendment ever made to the 1855 Classification — and has commissioned a world-renowned artist to design each vintage label since 1945. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the remarkable consistency of its style: a Pauillac red of extraordinary precision, marrying the power of Cabernet Sauvignon with a textural refinement that only the deep graves of the Médoc can produce. A cornerstone of any serious Bordeaux cellar.
