CHATEAU MOUTON ROTHSCHILD
Established on the Plateau de Mouton outside Pauillac in the Gironde, Château Mouton Rothschild covers 90 hectares of deep gravel soils planted predominantly with Cabernet Sauvignon. Acquired in 1853 by Nathaniel de Rothschild, the château was elevated to 1er Grand Cru Classé in 1973 — the sole amendment ever made to the 1855 Classification — and has commissioned a world-renowned artist to design each vintage label since 1945. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the remarkable consistency of its style: a Pauillac red of extraordinary precision, marrying the power of Cabernet Sauvignon with a textural refinement that only the deep graves of the Médoc can produce. A cornerstone of any serious Bordeaux cellar.
