A single-parcel selection from the Catalan hills

  • This cuvée rewards patient tasting with a remarkably sustained finish. The wine's architecture unfolds gradually, revealing layers of complexity that linger well beyond the initial impression.
  • The bottle itself merits a place in any serious cellar. The label and presentation speak to the producer's thoughtful approach to winemaking—a wine for those who appreciate the complete experience.
  • Decanting or simply allowing the wine air reveals another dimension entirely. Floral notes of peony and rose emerge alongside the initial stone-fruit character, suggesting the wine's capacity to evolve.

Product features : Le Clos des Fees Un Faune Avec Son Fifre 2015 — Catalan

In the mouth
Dense and textured, with a graceful weight on the palate. Fine-grained tannins provide structure without harshness. The finish is sustained and mineral-edged.
On the nose
A complex aromatic profile: beeswax and saffron form the foundation, with preserved apricot and honeyed notes developing as the wine opens. Layered and intriguing.
On the eye
Deep golden hue with amber undertones, suggesting both ripeness and age-worthiness.
M. Francois
Serve this wine as an aperitif alongside crudités and cured meats, where its weight and complexity complement savoury flavours admirably. Equally suited to lighter fish courses or aged cheeses. The wine's structure suggests it will develop gracefully over the coming years.
