In the mouth
The palate is warm and generous, with the Merlot providing a dense, velvety structure. Red fruit notes emerge alongside the darker fruit character, with a pleasing spice note on the finish. The wine shows good balance and a natural, unforced elegance.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with blackcurrant and plum, followed by subtle notes of black pepper and dried herbs. The aromatics develop with air, revealing further complexity.
On the eye
Deep, dark ruby. A wine of evident concentration and maturity.
Breeding
Aged 18 months in oak barrels, revealing a bouquet of ripe red fruits.
M. Francois
This Côtes de Bordeaux demonstrates the quality achievable in the appellation when fruit is treated with care. It is a wine for the table rather than the cellar, best enjoyed over the next five to seven years. Serve at room temperature with beef, veal, or substantial vegetable dishes.
