In the mouth
Well-structured tannins provide backbone without aggression, whilst the palate shows good persistence with coffee-tinged notes and a refined finish that speaks to careful élevage and balance
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of red fruits with subtle secondary notes emerging as the wine opens, revealing hints of graphite and mineral complexity characteristic of the appellation
On the eye
Ruby-hued with excellent clarity and depth
Breeding
Ageing 12 to 14 months in French oak barrels
M. Francois
A wine of considerable merit alongside a cheese board—particularly those from the Aquitaine region. The tannin structure and fruit profile make it equally suitable for lighter meat dishes. Drinking well now, with potential for further development over the next five to seven years.

CHÂTEAU TRIGANT

Situated at Villenave-d'Ornon in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan appellation, Château Trigant covers 3 hectares of deep graves planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Founded in 1783 by Philippe Trigant, a barrister at the Bordeaux Parliament, the château has been in the Sèze family since 1860. Following a complete restoration in 1990, the family replanted the vineyard and revived a winemaking tradition that had lain dormant. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the quality of its gravel terroir, its rare continuity of family ownership, and the classically Bordelais character of its reds. A discreet Left Bank address well worth discovering.
