The refinement of Pessac-Léognan in a distinguished second wine

  • The second wine of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, one of Pessac-Léognan's most celebrated classified growths. This offering captures the estate's commitment to excellence whilst remaining more approachable than the grand vin.
  • A classical Bordeaux assemblage, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, delivering balance and elegance. Matured with care, it achieves complexity sooner than the château's premier cuvée, offering genuine drinking pleasure within a few years of vintage.
  • An harmonious expression of Pessac-Léognan's distinctive gravelly terroir. Refined in structure yet accessible in price, this wine rewards patience but remains enjoyable in its youth, with genuine potential for further development in the cellar.

La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion demonstrates the estate's mastery across its range. The wine balances power with finesse, offering genuine aromatic complexity supported by refined tannin structure and persistence on the finish. Excellent with roasted meats, game and rich sauces. For those seeking Pessac-Léognan's character at a more accessible level, this second wine rewards both near-term enjoyment and patient cellaring.
