  • The wine displays considerable aromatic complexity, with layered fruit and spice notes that reward careful attention. Its structure suggests it will develop further nuance with bottle age, revealing additional dimensions.

In the mouth
Powerful yet harmonious. The palate shows good structure with ripe, well-integrated tannins. The wine displays the characteristic weight and balance expected of a serious Pauillac, with a clean, persistent finish.
On the nose
Blackcurrant and plum with subtle notes of liquorice and white pepper. The bouquet is well-defined, characteristic of left-bank Bordeaux, with good aromatic intensity.
On the eye
Intense, brilliant ruby with excellent clarity
Breeding
French oak barrel for 12 months
M. Francois
This wine pairs excellently with red meat dishes—particularly beef and venison—where its structure and tannin profile complement richly prepared proteins. It would also suit duck and game birds. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to open fully.

BARON PHILIPPE DE ROTHSCHILD

Founded in 1933 in Pauillac, Baron Philippe de Rothschild SA spans 1,500 hectares across AOC Bordeaux and produces Mouton Cadet, the world's leading AOC Bordeaux branded wine at 12 million bottles a year. Today led by Camille and Philippe Sereys de Rothschild and Julien de Beaumarchais de Rothschild, this château balances commercial reach with genuine qualitative rigour across red, white and rosé, built on Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its range, its deep-rooted Bordeaux identity and its HVE certification — a reliable benchmark across the appellation.
