A limited release from the oldest vines

  • Crafted from the château's most mature vineyard parcels, this Merlot Noir expresses the depth and complexity that comes only from established vines. The selection reflects La Tour de By's commitment to quality fruit at its peak.
  • Merlot Noir reveals its true character here: supple, fruit-forward, and structured without heaviness. The wine balances richness with freshness, offering the velvet texture the variety is prized for, without the oak-driven intensity of grander Bordeaux.
  • Direct from our cellars in northern France, this vintage reaches you at a fair merchant's price, reflecting our philosophy of offering fine Bordeaux without unnecessary markup.

CHATEAU LA TOUR DE BY

Set on 94 hectares of gravelly soils at Bégadan in the northern Médoc, Château la Tour de By produces red, white and rosé wines under the Bordeaux appellation, across two well-exposed gravel ridges facing the Gironde. Founded in 1599 and acquired in 1965 by Marc Pagès, the château is today run by his grandsons Frédéric Le Clerc and Benjamin Richer de Forges. The blend is led by Cabernet-Sauvignon at 60%, supported by Merlot and Petit Verdot, delivering the structure and definition that Médoc gravel terroir does so well. At Halles Quercamps, we selected this château for the reliability of its vintages, its clear terroir expression, and its HVE certification. A dependable reference for lovers of structured Médoc.
