CHATEAU BRANAIRE-DUCRU
L'histoire commence en 1680 lorsque Jean-Baptiste Braneyre, percevant l’extraordinaire potentiel des terroirs de graves, acquiert un précieux morceau du domaine de Beychevelle. Le vignoble s’étend sur 60 hectares, parcourant un axe Est-Ouest sur la partie méridionale de l’appellation. Classification Quatrième Grands Crus Classés en 1855. En 1824, Gustave Ducru acquière le Château. Il restera sa propriété jusqu'en 1919. Depuis 1988, c'est la famille Maroteaux qui s’emploie à valoriser cet exceptionnel terroir de Saint-Julien. En 2017, me Château obtient la certification Haute-Valeur environnementale 3.
