In the mouth
The palate displays admirable tension and structure. Ample, well-integrated tannins provide framework without dominating. A long, fresh finish leaves a lingering impression of dark fruit and fine oak.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with dark berry fruits—blackcurrant and plum—complemented by exotic wood notes and a subtle toasted character with hints of cocoa. Layered and evolving.
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with violet-tinged reflections. Colour suggests good concentration and maturity potential.
Breeding
Aged 18 to 24 months in barrels, 60% new oak.
M. Francois
This is a wine of genuine versatility. It will accompany roasted lamb beautifully, enhance a proper roast beef, and complement duck prepared with a glaze. The structure and balance suggest it will develop further over the coming years, rewarding those with patience.
