Breeding
12 to 14 months in French oak barrels
On the eye
Deep purple with garnet glints at the rim
On the nose
Vigorous and expressive. Blackcurrant and wild blackberry mingle with cedar and graphite notes, revealing the classic Pauillac signature without ostentation.
In the mouth
Well-structured with firm, ripe tannins typical of the appellation, softened by Merlot's contribution. The palate is straight and balanced, with good grip and a persistent finish that speaks of serious winemaking.
M. Francois
Croizet-Bages exemplifies honest, terroir-driven Pauillac. It eschews fashionable extraction in favour of classical proportions: power, dark fruit, cedar and mineral tension in elegant harmony. For those seeking authentic Left Bank character without the premium attached to the super-seconds, this represents judicious selection. A wine of genuine gastronomic merit.

CHATEAU CROIZET-BAGES

Set on the Bages plateau in Pauillac, Château Croizet-Bages covers 30 contiguous hectares of deep gravel soils, classified 5th Grand Cru in the historic 1855 ranking. Paul Quié rescued the château in 1942 after a difficult period; today the third generation, Anne-Françoise and Jean-Philippe Quié, leads the estate with HVE certification and a renewed focus on precision viticulture. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its Pauillac, its classically structured Cabernet Sauvignon-led profile, and its honest standing within the 1855 classification. A Pauillac of genuine character, faithful to the identity of the Bages plateau.
