Product features : Le Haut de Poujeaux 2016 — Haut-Médoc

In the mouth
Powerful yet harmonious on the palate. Silky tannins provide structure without aggression, whilst the wine maintains excellent balance between fruit and oak. A measured, classical expression of the vintage.
On the nose
Aromas of dark berries and spice, with subtle oak influence. The bouquet develops gradually, revealing hints of cedar and dried herbs characteristic of mature Haut-Médoc.
On the eye
Deep ruby robe with good intensity and clarity
Breeding
Aged for one year in French oak barrels of two and three wines.
M. Francois
A wine of considerable versatility at table. Le Haut de Poujeaux complements game, beef preparations, and mature cheeses with equal grace. Equally suited to aperitif service or as an accompaniment to substantial first courses. The wine's balance suggests it will develop further over the coming years.
