A Fourth Growth of refinement and pedigree

  • Classified as a Fourth Growth in 1855, Duhart-Milon occupies a distinguished position within Pauillac's hierarchy, nestled between the celebrated vineyards of Mouton and Lafite. This appellation reflects both terroir and tradition.
  • A wine of genuine ageing potential, the 2016 vintage will unfold its aromatic complexity over the coming years, rewarding patience with deepening layers of flavour and textural refinement characteristic of fine Bordeaux.
  • The vineyard is managed with reasoned viticulture practices, respecting the balance between plant health and environmental stewardship whilst maintaining the exacting standards expected of a classified growth.

Product features : Chateau Duhart-Milon – 4eme Cru Classé 2016 — Pauillac

Breeding
18 months in French oak barrels from Domaines cooperage (approximately 50% new wood)
On the eye
Deep garnet robe, limpid and luminous
On the nose
A refined and complex bouquet revealing blackcurrant liqueur, dark berries and a distinctive note of graphite. The aromatics speak of Pauillac's mineral character and careful élevage.
In the mouth
Savoury and persistent on the palate, with good length and moderate power. The Cabernet Sauvignon's structure is evident, yet tempered by the silken texture characteristic of wines from the Lafite group, creating an elegant whole.
M. Francois
This wine embodies the straightforward integrity of Pauillac's terroir. It will accompany charcuterie, red meat dishes and sauced preparations admirably—a leg of lamb with flageolet beans would be an excellent pairing. Best approached from 2024 onwards.
