WINE | WHITE WINE | ALSACE | KLEVNER-PINOT BLANC
Bottle of : 0.75L

A beacon of Alsatian winemaking since the seventeenth century

  • This is an expressive wine of considerable finesse. White stone fruits dominate the profile, whilst the wine maintains a pleasing weight without sacrificing the airiness characteristic of the finest Alsatian Pinot Blancs.
  • The wine's structure and precision make it an excellent companion to shellfish and seafood preparations. Its mineral backbone and subtle fruit complexity enhance rather than overpower delicate flavours.
  • Domaine Albert Boxler's commitment to quality is evident in every glass. This wine demonstrates the generosity and clarity of expression that distinguishes the house's most accomplished releases.

Product features : Albert Boxler Pinot Blanc 2018

In the mouth
The palate shows good roundness and depth. White fruit flavours persist with a clean, mineral finish. The wine carries sufficient body to stand alongside food whilst maintaining the elegance and precision expected of this appellation.
On the nose
Aromatic expression centres on white stone fruits—pear and white peach—with underlying notes of citrus zest and a whisper of mineral character typical of the Alsatian terroir.
On the eye
Brilliant, pale gold with subtle greenish reflections
Breeding
Aged on lees in old wooden vats
M. Francois
This Pinot Blanc performs admirably with oysters, scallops, and other shellfish. It is equally at home with sushi and Asian seafood preparations. The wine's balance between fruit and mineral character makes it a versatile table wine for those seeking something beyond the everyday.

DOMAINE ALBERT BOXLER

Based in Niedermorschwihr in the Haut-Rhin, Domaine Albert Boxler farms 14 hectares of steep granite hillsides under the Alsace appellation, with yields deliberately held to 30–35 hl/ha. The Boxler family has been rooted in this village since 1672; Albert Boxler made the estate's first domaine-bottling in 1946, a standard his grandson Jean has upheld since taking the helm in 1996. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the precision, tension and mineral drive of its whites — Riesling above all — drawn from lean granitic soils that give the wines a clarity and backbone rarely matched in Alsace. A discreet but thoroughly reliable address for lovers of great dry whites.
