Product features : Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal - 5eme Cru Classé 2017 — Pauillac

Breeding
16 to 18 months: 40% new oak barrels, 40% one-year-old barrels, and 20% in terracotta and stoneware amphorae
On the eye
Deep ink-coloured robe with purple reflections
On the nose
Remarkable purity on the nose. Fresh cassis, wild blackberry and bilberry lead, underpinned by a strong mineral signature: graphite and chalk notes that define the wine's character.
In the mouth
Sculpted and energetic on the palate. Dense tannins of exceptionally fine grain, almost chalky in texture. Vibrant and tense, with a saline, persistent finish marked by dark berry and liquorice notes.
M. Francois
This distinguished Pauillac marries the historical power of its appellation with remarkable fruit purity and mineral tension. Splendid with game birds and spiced dishes. A wine of considerable elegance and longevity.
