Half a century of family viticulture

The story begins in 1973, when Christiane and Alain Robert planted their first vines on a modest 2 hectares at Chançay. What might have remained a small family holding grew steadily over the following decades, driven by a quiet determination to work the land well rather than to expand for expansion's sake. By the time the estate had reached its current 37 hectares, it had established a clear identity within the Loire appellation — one built on the expressive potential of its terroir rather than on volume or fashion.

The next chapter opened in 2000, when Cyril Robert joined his parents on the estate, bringing with him a new generation's energy and technical rigour. Catherine followed in 2013, and together Cyril and Catherine formally took over the running of the estate in 2014. This transition was handled with care: the founding values — respect for the land, attention to the vine, unhurried winemaking — were preserved, while the couple brought a sharper focus to the style and presentation of the wines.
