A Bordeaux château with a singular story

For more than half a century, Château Real Caillou has occupied a distinctive position on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Owned by the EPLEFPA Bordeaux Gironde, the château is run day-to-day by the teaching staff and students of the Lycée Agroviticole de Libourne-Montagne — one of France's most respected wine and agriculture colleges. Far from being a purely academic exercise, the estate operates as a fully commercial Bordeaux property, subject to the same demands of quality and consistency as any serious private producer. That dual vocation — rigorous training ground and recognised cru — gives Château Real Caillou a character that is genuinely hard to replicate.
