A family estate rooted in Verdigny since the 1960s

It was Raymond Tabordet who established the estate at Verdigny in the 1960s, at a time when the Sancerre appellation was beginning to assert its identity on the Loire. His sons Yvon and Pascal took over the reins in 1980, steadily expanding and consolidating the vineyard holdings across the commune. In 2012, a new generation stepped forward: Gaël and Marius Tabordet assumed responsibility for the estate, bringing with them a clear ambition to deepen the estate's connection to its soils and to rethink its viticultural practices from the ground up. Today, Domaine Luc Tabordet covers 21 hectares and remains entirely family-owned and operated — a continuity that is increasingly rare in an appellation that has attracted considerable outside investment.
