In the mouth
Suave and finely textured on the palate, with a croquant quality that speaks to good acidity and fine tannin structure. The wine shows elegant restraint and a pleasing length, finishing with lingering spice.
On the nose
The bouquet is full and intense, offering aromas of dark cherry, black pepper, and subtle garrigue notes. There is good aromatic complexity without any sense of over-extraction.
On the eye
Deep purple-garnet colour with excellent clarity and depth.
Breeding
In demi-muid
M. Francois
This wine pairs beautifully with grilled meats—a côte de boeuf would be an excellent match—and also complements a well-chosen cheese board. The structure and freshness make it versatile at table, neither demanding nor retiring.
