In the mouth
The palate is marked by restrained, fine-grained tannins that allow the fruit to dominate. Red berries and subtle spice persist through a clean, well-balanced finish without heaviness.
On the nose
The bouquet opens with tobacco and leather notes from the Cabernet Franc, whilst the Côt contributes red fruit aromas—cherry and plum—which develop towards subtle animal and earthy undertones as the wine evolves in the glass.
On the eye
Clear cherry-red robe with good depth and clarity
M. Francois
A versatile table wine suited to white meats—particularly poultry and lamb—as well as charcuterie and lighter pâtés. The wine's freshness and moderate alcohol make it equally at home with feathered game and pastry-based dishes. Best enjoyed at 14–16°C.

DOMAINE DUTERTRE

Established in Limeray, Indre-et-Loire, Domaine Dutertre farms 37 hectares of silex clay and tuffeau soils, south-facing along the Loire, in the Touraine Amboise appellation. A family estate since the late nineteenth century, now in its fifth generation, it carries a remarkable distinction: Gabriel Dutertre was a co-founder of the Touraine Amboise AOC in 1954. Gilles Dutertre continues that legacy through Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Côt and Sauvignon, each rooted in the character of the middle Loire. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the depth of its Chenin whites, the directness of its Cabernet Franc and Côt reds, and the rare historical legitimacy of a producer who helped shape the appellation itself. A dependable reference from the Loire Valley.
