In the mouth
Opulent and lively on the palate with good acidity. The wine shows mineral structure and a long, dry finish with persistent salinity. Well-balanced and food-friendly.
On the nose
Delicate white flowers and citrus blossom lead to ripe pear and grapefruit. Distinctive iodine and saline notes—a signature of the Collioure maritime terroir—emerge on further inspection.
On the eye
Clear, luminous golden colour with bright reflections.
Breeding
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in concrete and stainless steel vats. Ageing on lees for five to six months.
A fine expression of Collioure blanc. I recommend it with Mediterranean fish preparations, seafood risotto, scallops with citrus, and aged hard cheeses. The minerality and freshness make it equally rewarding as an aperitif. Cazes has long understood this terroir; this vintage confirms their mastery.

Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan. Producing dry wines (Collioure) and sweet fortified wines (Banyuls). Schist soils. Intense Mediterranean terroir wines.
