Ten generations of vignerons devoted to this distinguished terroir

  • The purest expression of the Domaine's terroir. This Pinot Noir from naturally clay-rich soils captures the essence of Sancerre's finest red wine potential, with structure and depth that reward careful cellaring.
  • Hand-harvested at dawn to preserve fruit freshness and aromatic purity. The early morning picking ensures optimal ripeness whilst retaining the wine's characteristic elegance and finesse.
  • A refined definition of Pinot Noir on clay soils: naturally dense structure, dark fruit character, and savoury complexity. The wine balances ripe black fruits with peppery spice and a silky texture that speaks to careful winemaking.

M. Francois
This is a Sancerre that rewards patience and open-mindedness. Whilst many know the appellation for its whites, Henri Bourgeois has long understood that Pinot Noir from these clay-rich parcels deserves serious consideration. Serve it slightly cool at table, or indeed as an aperitif with charcuterie—it possesses the freshness and structure to work beautifully in either context. A wine that speaks to terroir rather than fashion.
