Powerful elegance from a historic Saint-Émilion estate

  • A wine of compelling character—simultaneously powerful and refined. The 2015 vintage demonstrates the balance and structure that define this château's finest expressions, with the depth to reward patient cellaring.
  • Excellent ageing potential. This Grand Cru Classé is built for the long term, developing further complexity over the next 15–20 years. A serious addition to any cellar.
  • Classified as Grand Cru in 2006, this Saint-Émilion combines power with restraint. Organic viticulture and careful élevage have produced a wine of real substance and finesse.

Product features : Château Fleur Cardinale 2015 St-Émilion Grand Cru Classé Organic Red Wine 75cl

Breeding
Aged 12 to 14 months in oak barrels.
On the eye
Deep, dense garnet. A wine of considerable colour and presence in the glass.
On the nose
Intense aromatic palette: ripe dark fruits, plum and blackcurrant, with subtle floral notes and gentle spice. Complexity develops with time in the glass.
In the mouth
Balanced and generous on the palate. Silky tannins provide structure without heaviness. Good acidity and a persistent finish suggest years of development ahead.
M. Francois
This is a wine I recommend for roasted game birds—quail or pigeon—or a fine roasted chicken. The silky tannin structure and fruit weight make it equally at home with beef. Decant 30 minutes before service. A serious Saint-Émilion that deserves a place in the cellar. — Nicolas François
