- Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant, this wine is structured and powerful yet refined, with fine tannins and considerable depth. Merlot contributes roundness and fruit character, tempering the Cabernet's force and achieving an accomplished balance between strength and finesse.

In the mouth
Powerful yet refined on the palate, with silky, well-integrated tannins. Ripe dark fruits—blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry—meld with tobacco and liquorice in a rich, velvety structure. The finish is long and persistent, marked by freshness and a subtle mineral quality.
On the nose
Complex and intense bouquet: blackcurrant and plum, warm spice, cedar and a characteristic smoky note typical of fine Pauillac. The aromatics unfold with aeration.

Breeding
Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months, with 50% new wood, imparting subtle vanilla and toasted aromas whilst preserving the purity of the fruit

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron is an estate in the Pauillac appellation (Bordeaux), classified Second Growth (1855). Area: 73 hectares. Owned by AXA Millésimes. Grapes: Cabernet Sauvignon (65%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (3%), Petit Verdot (2%). Deep gravel soils. Iconic turreted château. Powerful, structured wine for extended ageing.
