- Cavanos is sourced exclusively from vines on the commune of Chavanay, at the northern extremity of the Saint-Joseph appellation. This singular positioning defines the wine's character.
- Chavanay stands alone within Saint-Joseph for its distinctive muscovite granite soils. This geology draws forth the freshest expression of Syrah, lending the wine its characteristic elegance and mineral precision.
- The wine rewards both early drinking—within three to four years, when red fruit aromas dominate—and patient cellaring, as secondary flavours develop with time. Either approach reveals the terroir's integrity.
