Élevage in oak barrels (casks from multiple vintages) for approximately 12 to 16 months
On the eye
Brilliant garnet robe with good depth of colour.
On the nose
Aromatic and inviting, with notes of red fruits—cherry and redcurrant—complemented by subtle mineral undertones characteristic of the terroir.
In the mouth
Fine, precisely defined tannins create an elegant structure without heaviness. The wine pursues finesse above all. A long, saline finish, driven by refreshing acidity, extends the impression of fresh red fruit and mineral precision.
The Haut de la Butte represents the most ethereal expression in the Domaine's range. Its delicate balance makes it an ideal partner for grilled or roasted meats, whilst its freshness and structure also complement aged cheeses admirably. A wine of genuine refinement.

DOMAINE DE LA BUTTE - JACKY BLOT
Domaine de la Butte is a wine estate in the Bourgueil appellation (Loire Valley), created in 2002 by Jacky Blot (also owner of Taille aux Loups in Montlouis). Grape: Cabernet Franc. Around 14 hectares on tuffeau, gravel and clay soils. Single-vineyard cuvées: Mi-Pente, Perrières, Haut de la Butte. Wines of great precision and fine depth.
