Ageing for 6 months in stainless steel on fine lees.

Quince, ripe pear and white peach, with delicate acacia and honeysuckle florals. The aromatic profile is refined and inviting.

Silky and well-textured, immediately balanced by the mineral tension characteristic of fine Chenin. Ripe stone fruit flavours lead to a persistent, lightly saline and citric finish that enhances digestibility and food compatibility.
Chenin de Jardin serves as an excellent introduction to the nobility of Chenin without the austerity that can mark younger examples elsewhere. The Mourat family's masterful handling of acidity creates a supremely versatile wine—equally at home with river fish in beurre blanc, fresh goat's cheese such as Selles-sur-Cher, or creamed poultry dishes.

Vignobles Mourat is a family wine estate in Mareuil-sur-Lay (Vendée), southern Loire Valley. Founded by Jérémie Mourat. Around 70 hectares of vines. Grapes: Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Négrette, Cabernet Franc. Appellations: Fiefs Vendéens, IGP Val de Loire. Organically farmed. Fresh and expressive wines.
