Discover refined elegance in a bottle

  • This 2022 Gigondas from Famille Brunier reveals the finesse often overlooked in Southern Rhône wines. Rich aromatics of ripe red and dark berries combine with mineral undertones and structured tannins, creating a wine of considerable complexity and balance.
  • Brunier's hallmark is restraint—the ability to harness the power of the Southern Rhône without excess. Les Pallieres Racines exemplifies this philosophy, offering a wine of genuine distinction capable of standing alongside the finest Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
  • From charcuterie to chocolate desserts, this Gigondas proves remarkably versatile at table. Each glass reveals layers of fruit and mineral character, rewarding both immediate enjoyment and patient cellaring.

Product features : Famille Brunier - Gigondas les Pallieres Racines

Breeding
20 months in 60-hectolitre French oak vats
On the eye
Deep ruby colour with youthful intensity
On the nose
Powerful and complex bouquet. Ripe red fruits and dark berries—black cherry and bilberry—with underlying mineral notes reflecting the vineyard's altitude.
In the mouth
Mineral freshness on the palate, marked tannins with good structure. The wine shows excellent balance between fruit concentration and the austere character imparted by elevation.
M. Francois
Unlike some Gigondas that veer towards heaviness or rusticity, this wine distinguishes itself through elegance and refinement. The Brunier signature shines: mastery of Southern Rhône power without sacrificing finesse. Among the appellation's finest, capable of rivalling great Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Remarkably food-friendly from start to finish.

FAMILLE BRUNIER

On the Crau plateau at Bédarrides, Famille Brunier farm 70 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape across galets roulés and red clay soils, currently in organic conversion. Founded in 1891 by Henri Brunier, the estate is now in the hands of its sixth generation — Nicolas, Édouard and Manon — who joined between 2015 and 2018, bringing fresh rigour to a house already defined by its command of Grenache Noir and deep-rooted sense of terroir. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this estate for the consistency of its age-worthy reds and the character of its whites — both faithful expressions of one of the Rhône Valley's most clearly defined terroirs. A dependable reference for anyone seeking Châteauneuf-du-Pape at its most complete.
