Family tradition and Northern Rhône terroir in every bottle

  • Domaine Guigal was established in 1946 by Étienne Guigal in Ampuis, the historic heart of the Côte-Rôtie appellation. The house remains rooted in its commitment to the distinctive terroirs of the Northern Rhône, producing wines of genuine character and distinction.
  • This Saint-Joseph expresses the appellation's characteristic dark stone fruits and refined tannin structure. The wine demonstrates the elegance and substance that have established Saint-Joseph as one of the Northern Rhône's most compelling appellations.
  • Les Halles de Quercamps sources directly from the domaine, offering you a wine of genuine provenance at a fair merchant's price. This direct relationship ensures quality and authenticity in every bottle.

Breeding
This wine is aged in second-fill oak barrels for approximately 24 months.
On the eye
Deep ruby with violet reflections
On the nose
Powerful bouquet dominated by dark red fruits, with delicate woody undertones and subtle mineral notes characteristic of the Northern Rhône
In the mouth
Forthright attack with prominent fruit character. The tannins are rounded and supple, providing structure without heaviness. Good length and balance throughout
M. Francois
A versatile food wine that pairs excellently with roasted red meats, game, and mature cheeses. The wine's structure and fruit-forward character make it equally suitable for drinking now or cellaring for five to eight years. Particularly recommended with beef daube or lamb dishes.
