On the eye
Dense black robe, suggesting concentration and maturity.
On the nose
The bouquet reveals itself gradually, with pronounced notes of stewed fruit and prune, underpinned by subtle mineral undertones characteristic of the region.
In the mouth
The palate is compact and structured, offering a velvet texture alongside rustic tannins. Unusually compelling—a wine that intrigues rather than conforms. The finish is clean and lingering, leaving the mouth refreshed and engaged.
M. Francois
This wine pairs naturally with red meat preparations, particularly beef and lamb. Its structure and weight suit slow-cooked dishes and grilled meats. The wine's character also makes it suitable for consideration alongside game and mature cheeses, where its rusticity becomes an asset rather than a limitation.
