Breeding
It is aged in stainless steel for the Grenache and in oak barrels of 3 to 4 years for the Syrah and Mourvèdre.
On the eye
Deep garnet red with excellent intensity and clarity
On the nose
Expressive bouquet of dark berries, garrigue and white pepper—characteristic of the southern Rhône. Secondary notes of liquorice and dried herbs emerge with aeration.
In the mouth
Ample and suave on the palate, with a tightly-woven tannin structure softened by Grenache's natural richness. The finish is persistent, closing on subtle pepper and liquorice notes.
This wine pairs beautifully with beef carpaccio, beef stroganoff, roasted duck with mushrooms, or spring lamb. Its balanced acidity and moderate alcohol make it equally suited to lighter preparations and richer game dishes.

Vignobles Alain Jaume is a family wine estate in Orange (Vaucluse), Southern Rhône Valley. Founded in 1826. Around 85 hectares. Grapes: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Viognier. Appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape (Domaine Grand Veneur), Lirac, Côtes du Rhône, Vacqueyras. Organically farmed since 2010.
