Breeding
12 months in vats and large wooden vessels, allowing the wine to retain its fruity expression whilst developing fine tannic structure
On the eye
Deep garnet robe with purple highlights and considerable intensity.
On the nose
Ripe dark fruit aromas—blackcurrant and blackberry—with garrigue, black pepper, and subtle notes of cocoa and smoke.
In the mouth
Powerful and concentrated, with fine tannins and good freshness. Dark fruit flavours meld with spice and mineral notes, finishing long and persistent.

Maison M. Chapoutier is a wine estate and merchant founded in 1808 in Tain-l'Hermitage (Drôme), Rhône Valley. Run by Michel Chapoutier since 1990. Over 350 hectares farmed biodynamically (Demeter certified). Appellations: Hermitage, Côte-Rôtie, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Saint-Joseph, Crozes-Hermitage. Main grapes: Syrah, Marsanne, Grenache, Roussanne.
