Breeding
Aged in barrels with one-quarter new oak for 12 months.
On the eye
Ruby robe of good depth and clarity.
On the nose
The bouquet presents ripe dark fruits with subtle oak influence. Secondary notes of cedar and graphite emerge as the wine opens, suggesting a wine of some complexity.
In the mouth
An initial impression of oak gives way to a palate of good amplitude and texture. The tannins are supple and well-integrated, providing structure without harshness. The finish shows good length and balance.
This wine pairs naturally with duck and game birds, particularly magret de canard. It will serve well alongside lamb dishes and aged cheeses with softer paste. Decant thirty minutes before service to allow the wine to settle and develop its full character.

CHÂTEAU LA PIROUETTE
Established on 33 hectares of gravel soils at Jau-Dignac-et-Loirac in the northern Médoc, Château la Pirouette produces red Bordeaux of genuine character and terroir. Founded in 1978 by the Roux family on the lieu-dit that bears its name, the château works a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot — a structured, gravel-driven style faithful to the Bordeaux appellation. At Halles Quercamps, we have selected this château for the consistency of its vintages and for the medal awarded to the 2022 at the Concours de Bordeaux – Vins d'Aquitaine, a reliable indicator of rigour both in the vineyard and the cellar. A dependable Bordeaux, firmly rooted in its Gironde terroir.
